Signs your cooling plant needs attention
Most breakdowns give some warning first. If you notice any of these, book an inspection before a small fault becomes a plant shutdown.

Cooling capacity is dropping
Chilled-water temperatures creeping up or spaces not reaching setpoint can point to low refrigerant charge, fouled heat-exchanger tubes or a compressor losing efficiency.

Unusual noise or vibration
Knocking, grinding or rising vibration from a compressor often signals bearing wear, loose mountings or liquid refrigerant reaching the compressor.

Repeated trips and alarms
High-pressure, low-pressure or oil-pressure trips are symptoms, not faults. The cause needs to be traced before the unit is reset again.

Oil or refrigerant leaks
Oil stains around joints, valves or the compressor body usually mean refrigerant is escaping too. Left alone, leaks cost efficiency and damage the compressor.

Cold room temperatures drifting
Ice build-up on evaporators, door seals not closing or long pull-down times put stored produce at risk and should be checked promptly.
